State Reporting

We report your completed courses to the MCLE Board of the Supreme Court of Illinois. Our automated attendance reports run on the 1st and weekly on Thursday. Illinois attorneys that are not in compliance must request a grace period extension on the board's website. If you have completed your CLE requirement and your My MCLE transcript is complete you do not need to report compliance.

State Rules

The Illinois reporting period runs from July 1 to June 30.
Attorneys with last name A-M in even numbered years.
Attorneys with last name N-Z in odd numbered years.

Professional responsibility credits may be carried over from one reporting period to the next only as general credits.

Newly Admitted Attorneys

Newly admitted attorneys must complete a total of 15 Illinois approved MCLE credits, which must include a 6 hour Basic Skills course and at least 9 additional hours of Illinois approved General, or Professional Responsibility MCLE credits. Please note that only the 6 hour Basic Skills requirement may be satisfied prior to you being sworn into the bar - the remaining 9 hours must be completed after you are sworn into the bar. The completion deadline is one year after the last day of the month that you were admitted to the Illinois bar. Attorney Credits does not offer these newly admitted courses.
