How do I report the completion of my CLE requirement at the end of my compliance period?

You must report the completion of your Minnesota CLE requirement to the Minnesota Board of Continuing Legal Education. You must either enter your completed CLE courses through OASIS or submit your Affidavit of CLE Compliance by August 31. Please note that if you enter your completed courses through OASIS, then there is no further reporting duty and you do not have to submit your Affidavit of CLE Compliance.

Choose from streaming video CLE courses if you want to study online or select video download for Minnesota attorney CLE courses if you prefer to study offline. Attorney Credits offers Minnesota CLE compliance bundles and packages that feature 15 hours of pre-approved MN CLE courses. You can also select individual Minnesota Continuing Legal Education courses if you only need to pick up a few extra CLE credits.

Minnesota attorneys must complete and report 45 hours of accredited Minnesota CLE courses every 3 years, including the legal ethics and elimination of bias requirement. During each continuing legal education reporting period, Minnesota attorneys must complete 3 hours of legal ethics and 2 hours of elimination of bias. Minnesota attorneys must complete their required MN CLE hours by June 30 and report MN MCLE compliance by August 31. If you have not completed the Minnesota attorney CLE requirements by June 30, then you may complete your required MN CLE credit hours between July 1 and August 31 without requesting a formal extension from the MN CLE Board. You must report your mandatory Minnesota CLE completion by reporting your CLE compliance with the Minnesota MCLE Board. The Affidavit of CLE Compliance may be filed with the MN CLE Board at anytime throughout your MN CLE reporting cycle. Attorneys may satisfy up to 15 CLE credit hours each compliance period through on demand online and downloadable Minnesota continuing legal education courses.
