Yes, up to 1 year's worth of both general (12 hours) and Ethics/Professionalism (3 hours) may be carried over. Ethics credits in excess of the annual requirement (a maximum of 3 hours) will be carried forward to the next year's ethics requirement, but may NOT be used to satisfy any deficiency in the twelve (12) hour general requirement.
Yes, under the Tennessee CLE Requirements we must monitor your completion of the course. For online streaming video courses you must click on randomly inserted pop ups to confirm that you are viewing the video. For downloadable courses we have embedded numeric codes in the courses. You must write these numbers down and then enter them on our website after you complete the course to obtain your course certificate. Please note that the date you enter the codes and get the certificate is the date that will be printed on the certificate.
Yes, Attorney Credits does report your completed courses to the Supreme Court of Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education. Our automated attendance reports run weekly on Thursday. In addition, we also maintain a record of all your completed courses and you can access your certificates of completion at anytime from our website.
The Supreme Court of Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education will prepare and email you the Annual Report Statement in February. Attorneys that are short CLE hours must cure any CLE deficiency, complete the Annual Report Statement, then return it to the Supreme Court of Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education before April 1.

Tennessee attorneys must complete 15 Tennessee continuing legal education hours each annual TN CLE compliance period, including 3 hours of ethics/professionalism (E/P). The Tennessee CLE compliance period begins on January 1 and ends on December 31. The deadline to report TN CLE compliance is March 31. If your TN CLE hours are not completed by December 31, you will owe a $100 non-completion fee and you will still have to attend the required Tennessee CLE hours to meet your TN CLE requirement. Tennessee attorneys may complete all 15 hours of TN CLE credit per year earned in a distance learning format that has been pre-approved by the Tennessee CLE Commission.
