Yes, up to 6 credit hours may be carried forward to the next compliance period. Legal ethics, elder abuse reporting and access to justice hours may only be carried over as general credits.
No. Oregon attorneys monitor their own progress and verify their own completion once the course has been completed.
Yes, Attorney Credits does report your completed courses to the Oregon State Bar MCLE Department. Our automated attendance reports run weekly on Thursday. In addition, we also maintain a record of all your completed Oregon State Bar MCLE courses and you can access your certificates of completion at anytime from our website.
You must file a completed compliance report with the Oregon State Bar MCLE Department certifying completion of your MCLE requirement. Your completed compliance report must be electronically certified and submitted by midnight on May 31 on the year of your reporting period at the Oregon Bar website at: https://www.osbar.org

The Oregon Bar CLE rules require that all regular active members of the Oregon State Bar complete 45 hours of approved continuing legal education (CLE) activities each 3 year OR CLE reporting period. Of those required 45 hours, 5 hours must be legal ethics credits, 1 hour of elder and child abuse reporting, and 1 hour of mental health. In alternate reporting periods, Oregon attorneys must also complete at least 3 hours of Access to Justice. All hours must be completed by midnight on April 30 of the reporting period and the CLE compliance report must be filed on or before May 31 of the year immediately following the member's reporting period.
