State Rules

The State Bar of South Dakota does not have mandatory or minimum continuing legal education requirements, although its members are encouraged to engage in such continuing legal education as is necessary to maintain their competence to practice law.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

All members of the State Bar of South Dakota are required to complete Sexual Harassment Prevention Training within two years following admission to the practice of law and once every three years thereafter. This course is offered by the State Bar of South Dakota.
