Yes, under the Virginia MCLE Requirements we must monitor your course attendance and completion. For online streaming video courses you must click on randomly inserted pop ups during the video to confirm that you are viewing the course. For downloadable courses we have embedded numeric codes in the courses. You must write these numbers down and then after you complete the course you must enter the codes on the website to obtain your course certificate. Please note that the date you enter the codes and get the certificate is the date that will be printed on the certificate.
No. Attorney Credits does not report your completed courses to the Virginia MCLE Board. Virginia attorneys are required to self-report their hours. We do maintain a record of all your completed courses and you can access your certificates of completion at anytime from our website.
You can self-report your MCLE hours on the Virginia State Bar website: https://www.vsb.org/Site/Sign_In.aspx?.
You can view your transcript online on the Virginia State Bar website: https://www.vsb.org/Site/Sign_In.aspx?.
At the end of the MCLE reporting cycle, the Virginia MCLE Board will send you a report listing the MCLE that you have completed. If this report is correct and you have completed the required Virginia MCLE, you do not need to take any further action. If the report shows that you are in noncompliance or the MCLE report is inaccurate, you have until December 15 to file an annual report correcting the error or demonstrating Virginia MCLE compliance.
